Maui Wedding | Brittani + Adam | Destination Wedding Photographer
You know when you are a little kid and all you want is this favorite toy and you just can't contain yourself when you actually get it? That's how I felt when Brittani + Adam asked me to photograph their Maui Wedding! I knew these were the perfect couple to travel across the ocean for. They are fun, caring, and adventurous...what more could you want ;) As we gathered for the rehearsal on their backyard overlooking the ocean and ran though the ceremony one of my favorite moments happened. All the family and wedding party had stepped away and it was just us and their officiant Phil, who is a family friend. They held each others hands and I watched as Brittani's eyes teared up as Phil softly spoke the words that were so true to them. It was such an intimate moment and you could just see and feel the love between everyone. And it's the moments like that that make me fall even more in love with my job.
We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day. The sun was shining, the scenery was lush and green, and the ocean was an electric blue that was so inviting. They read their vows and I'm pretty sure everyone got a little emotional, including me <3 We even had a sea turtle crawl up on the beach for us, which is an extremely rare occurrence. Our little friend was their for the whole ceremony and then left shortly after it was over. I'm not sure if turtles are good luck, but I'm taking it as a great sign :) The celebrated with family and friends at Kukahiko Estate and then continued the party back to their rental house. It was so fun to see everyone just relax and let loose! We ended the night with stunning sunset photos and it was the perfect way to end a perfect day <3
As a photographer we are the people that usually spend the most amount of time with the bride and groom, so it's crucial that they feel comfortable around us. But it also helps to mesh well with and family and friends and crew welcomed me with open arms and I can't thank them enough. Our time in Hawaii was absolutely incredible and I'm so so so excited to share some more photos. There are so many photos that are too good not to share, but I guess that's what happens when you spend 3 days with people for a Maui Wedding :)
Brittani + Adam are still living the dream in Hawaii and I hope these photos can take everyone back to this special time!
